Independent practice, 1957 to present (became President, Bricklin Associates, in 1983).  Psychodiagnosis, psychotherapy, and consultation services with persons of all ages, utilizing psychodynamic systems, and hypnotherapeutic techniques.  Supervise multi-disciplinary teams on projects involving communication strategies, test construction, forensic issues, the measurement of advertising effectiveness, paradigms of decision processes, and executive coaching.

 

Adjunct Associate Professor, Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, Widener University, 1989 to present.

Supervise students and provide lectures on child custody issues, per request.

Diagnosed and treated a wide variety of psychological conditions, including anxiety, depression, phobias, obsessions, compulsions, learning inpairments, marital conflicts, and psychosomatic and psychophysiologic reactions.  Taught classes in psychology, created and supervised psychological research projects, and supervised clinicians in training.

Performed same duties as above, but additionally worked with many underachievers.

 

Faculty, Instructor and Assistant Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, Jefferson Medical College and Hospital, 1959 to 1964.

Duties same as above, but additionally taught and supervised psychiatrists and psychologists in training, worked with other medical specialties, especially neurologists, in diagnosing neurologic disorders and in planning psychological treatments when appropriate.  Carried out many research projects (with Zygmunt A. Piotrowski, Ph.D.) on schizophrenia, the diagnosis of psychophysiologic impairment and organic brain damage, the prediction of criminal behavior, psychological aspects of surgery, and psychological-intercultural interactions.  Began a series of research projects on forensic issues, which continue to the present.
